I'm still trying to wrap my head around the tragedy of Victor Hugo Reyes. From everything I’ve read, he seemed like a genuinely good person with a bright future ahead of him. What really gets me about this case is how young everyone involved is. Gabriel De La Rosa, the suspect, is only 15. It’s terrifying to think about how someone so young could be involved in something this tragic. Where do we, as a society, go wrong that leads to teenagers getting involved in such serious crimes? The ripple effects are huge — not only is Victor’s family left grieving, but Gabriel’s family now faces their own heartbreak too. I can't imagine the pain and confusion both families must be experiencing. It seems like there are more questions than answers right now. The community response has been touching, though, with the GoFundMe campaign and fundraisers showing just how loved Victor was. I hope the ongoing investigation brings some clarity and justice — whatever that looks like in this unfathomable situation. My thoughts are with Victor’s family, especially his sisters, as they navigate this painful journey.
