Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about Ricardo Vasquez’s case and the broader issue it represents in our city. It breaks my heart that someone so young had his life cut short while just being out in the community. How are we still letting this pattern continue year after year without substantial change? I keep wondering if enough is being done to involve youth in positive activities and ensure they have safe spaces where they can grow and thrive. The community loss here is immense, and it feels personal even if you didn’t know him. We all need to push for more local programs that engage with teens and provide mentorship. Does anyone here have experience working with any community groups that focus on youth intervention? Let’s share resources and ideas—Ricardo’s death shouldn’t be in vain, and we owe it to him and others who suffered the same fate to push for real, impactful change.
