On August 13, 2011, Ricardo Vasquez, a 17-year-old male, was fatally shot in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on Chicago’s South Side. The incident occurred around 3:15 a.m. in the 4800 block of South Laflin Street. Ricardo Vasquez, who resided on the 4700 block of South Laflin Street, was struck multiple times by gunfire. He was transported to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, where he was pronounced dead at 3:57 a.m.
