Hey everyone, I've been reading a lot about the tragic case of Chief Jack McArthur and just can't get over the bravery and dedication he showed in such a dangerous situation. It's unimaginable what his family must have gone through, losing him so suddenly and violently. The fact that his deputy managed to escape unharmed is some small relief. I was curious if anyone has come across any more stories or maybe old newspaper clippings about how the community of Antigo came together afterward? It must have been such a turbulent time, not just for his family, but for everyone in that tight-knit community. I find solace in the thought that they supported each other and remembered him not just as a Chief but as a husband and a father too.
