Did anyone else hear about the strange weather reports on the day Clint Oshima and his friends went missing? I remember reading that there were unexpected changes in wind patterns that might have caught them off guard. It's puzzling since experienced fishermen like them would’ve checked the weather before heading out, right? Could these sudden shifts have played a role in what happened? It’s unsettling that Clint is still missing. Has anyone come across more info on the weather conditions that day?
Hey everyone, I've been reading through the threads about Clint Oshima's disappearance, and something has been on my mind. I've been thinking about the fishing conditions off Haleiwa around the time Clint and his friends went missing. Does anyone know if there were any weather advisories or unusual currents reported during that period? I've read that sudden weather changes can catch even experienced fishermen off guard, especially in smaller vessels like the *Iwa*. I wonder if something similar happened here that made things turn so tragic. If anyone has details about the ocean conditions or any local reports from around that time, it might help piece together what led to the capsize. Thanks!
Hey everyone, I've been following the Clint Oshima case since it first broke back in 2016, and one thing that's really got me thinking is the name of their boat, *Iwa*. For those who might not know, "iwa" is Hawaiian for frigatebird, which is known for its ability to soar over the ocean for long periods. Strangely symbolic given the circumstances, right? It's almost like the name predicted the fate of that tragic day. What do you guys think about the symbolism in cases like these? Coincidence, or is there sometimes more to a name than we realize?
