Does anyone else find it strange that Wendy McDade and William Callahan were moving under assumed names just before their deaths? The fact that they registered as Mr. and Mrs. Walter Crane in Chicago just a day prior to being found is so intriguing to me. I'm curious about the significance of this name or if it was chosen randomly. Were they running from something, or was it simply because Callahan was trying to keep his real identity hidden due to the embezzlement? It's so sad to think that Wendy, caught up in all of this, lost her life in such a devastating way. I'm hoping that one day the truth comes to light and that the families of both victims find some answers. Does anyone have any thoughts on what the name change could indicate?
Hey everyone,
I've been following the case of Wendy McDade and William Callahan for a while, and something that's been bugging me is the $5,000 watch found on Callahan. It's such an odd detail, right? If whoever killed them wanted to make it look like they were robbed, they'd surely take the watch. Its presence feels significant, almost like it was purposefully left behind as a message or to throw off the investigation.
Considering Callahan was involved in some shady financial dealings, could the watch be a clue pointing towards someone in his circle who wanted to send a message? It also makes me wonder about the connection to Canada, since some Canadian money was found on him. Could there have been a business associate or someone else up north with ties to both the money and Callahan who might have a motive?
I can't imagine how Wendy's and William's families must feel, not having answers all these years. If anyone else has thoughts on the watch or other overlooked details, I'd love to hear them. Maybe together, we can piece together something meaningful.
Take care,
