It's so awful to read about what happened to Julie M. Morgan Hinkley. I just can't stop thinking about how this tragedy might have been prevented if the warning signs had been acted upon more decisively. Julie sounded like such a dedicated mom and a beloved member of the Eldorado community, and my heart truly goes out to her daughters, Karli and Kori, who have to carry this with them. What stands out to me is how domestic violence often gets swept under the rug until it becomes too late. Julie's courage in reporting the November incident should have spurred more protective measures, perhaps some counseling or intervention could have been offered to Kurt. It's frustrating to think of all the missed opportunities to prevent this heart-wrenching situation. I genuinely hope sharing Julie's story brings more awareness to domestic abuse issues and leads to better support systems for those affected. It's a small consolation in the wake of such a huge loss, but hopefully, some good can come from her story being shared.
