Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the impact of Sherry Jackson's case on her kids, DeMadre and Delylah. It's so tragic to think about what they went through, first dealing with their mom being missing and then learning about her death. They were so young when it all happened. I can't even begin to imagine growing up with such a loss.
It's comforting, at least, to see that the Sherri Denese Jackson Foundation is doing important work, and I hope it provides some solace and support to her children and others in similar situations. It kind of reminds me just how important it is to support kids who've lost parents to violence. They're victims, too, and need all the love and guidance they can get.
Has anyone here followed what kind of outreach the foundation does specifically for kids? I'm curious if there are programs that help children deal with trauma like this. I think it's crucial that these family tragedies become a call to action for us all to prevent them in the future and also heal those still suffering.
