Hey everyone, just thinking about the Timothy Farmer case from back in 2017. It’s been ages since anyone has seen him around Mt. Charleston, and it’s perplexing that no concrete leads have materialized over the years. I’ve read that search teams were all over the area and even had aerial support, but still nothing.
One thought that comes to mind is how challenging it must be for law enforcement to cover such rugged terrain thoroughly. I’m curious if any locals have insights into areas around Mt. Charleston that might have been overlooked or are particularly difficult to access. It’s a vast place, and I imagine there could be spots that are nearly impossible to reach. Hoping that maybe someone in this community knows more about the landscape there and can share any thoughts on whether there might have been places that search teams might have missed. Keeping fingers crossed that something turns up.
I was looking into Timothy Farmer’s case, and it got me thinking about the terrain around Mt. Charleston. Having been there a couple of times, I know how quickly the landscape can change and how easy it is to get disoriented, especially for someone who might not be familiar with the area. The weather can also be unpredictable up there, adding another layer of concern. It makes me wonder if enough resources were initially dedicated to exploring some of the lesser-known trails off the beaten path. Does anyone know if search efforts ever included comprehensive sweeps of those areas? It seems like the kind of place where someone could easily go unnoticed for a long time.
