I've been thinking a lot about the role mental health might have played in Dandre "Peanut" Morehouse's tragic murder. It's incredibly sad to see how untreated mental health issues can escalate to such a devastating outcome. From what I’ve read, Amontre Ross had made some outlandish claims and exhibited concerning behavior before the incident, yet those around him didn’t view him as violent. It makes me wonder if there were missed opportunities for intervention. It’s just painful to think that maybe, with the right support and treatment, both Dandre and Amontre’s lives could have been so different. My heart goes out to Dandre's family and his young son, who has to grow up without his dad. It’s a stark reminder of how crucial it is for us to look out for each other’s mental well-being and take signs of distress seriously.
