I came across Jameel Easter's story recently, and it's really stuck with me. His death was such a senseless tragedy. What breaks my heart the most is how a night out could turn into something so devastating because of an altercation. I can't stop thinking about how unfair it is that a 25-year-old, with his whole life ahead of him, was taken away like this. I’ve been following a lot of true crime cases, and it never gets easier to see how these random acts of violence affect so many lives. Even if justice is served, it doesn’t bring Jameel back or heal the hole left in his family’s life. I hope the authorities are making progress with the investigation and that they find the person responsible soon.
