I've been following the tragic case of Derek Edwards and the others since it happened in 2017, and something that deeply troubles me is how the shooter managed to slip away despite such a large crowd present. With around 15,000 people there, it seems nearly impossible that no one got a good enough look to help identify him. I understand the fear and hesitation some might feel about coming forward, especially considering the potential gang ties, but it seems like such a cruel twist of fate for their families to be left without answers for so long.
It's hard to imagine what Derek's family, as well as David's and Khalid's families, must be going through every day. Living in constant limbo and carrying the weight of that day on their shoulders must be unbearable. If anyone happened to be at the event and remembers even the smallest detail, no matter how insignificant it might seem, I truly hope they find the courage to speak up. Just knowing they're not alone might offer some comfort to those trying to put the pieces together.
I've been following the 2017 Great Lakes Dragaway shooting case, and something that’s really been bothering me is how the shooter managed to vanish in a crowd of 15,000 people. It’s incredibly chilling to think he could just walk away unnoticed among so many. I can only imagine the frustration and pain the families of Derek Edwards, David Watson, and Khalid Howard must be facing, knowing the person responsible is still out there.
I wonder whether there were any surveillance cameras around the concession stand or parking lot that could've picked up on any movements or suspicious activity. With today's technology, you'd think there'd be more to go on. It's a shame that witness cooperation has been an issue, but maybe someone will eventually come forward with the missing piece of the puzzle. Sending thoughts to the families—no one should have to endure such uncertainty and loss. If anyone here knows more about security footage from that day, any tidbits could really help keep this conversation alive.
