I just can't stop thinking about the kids who had to endure such a terrifying and traumatic experience. It's unimaginable what they went through that day, losing their dad and suffering such serious injuries themselves. I hope they're receiving the support and help needed to heal, both physically and emotionally. The courage of the 14-year-old to survive being shot while trying to protect their sibling and themselves is truly remarkable. It’s a grim reminder of the random and senseless nature of gun violence, and how it leaves a lasting impact on families and communities. My heart goes out to their family, and I hope justice brings them some measure of peace. What a horrible loss for everyone who knew and loved Eric.
