I've been reading about the Closs case again and can't stop thinking about how the community came together during such an unsettling time. It must have been incredibly hard for everyone in Barron, knowing that such a horrific crime took place right in their neighborhood. The countless volunteers who showed up for search parties and the local businesses that offered support showed a remarkable display of solidarity and compassion. I can't even imagine the mix of emotions Jayme must have felt when she finally escaped, but knowing she had a community waiting to welcome her back must have given her some comfort. It's a reminder of how important it is for communities to rally together during times of crisis.
