I can't stop thinking about the safety protocols for first responders that came to light after Mitch Lundgaard's tragic passing. It's deeply troubling to consider that what started as a routine call could turn deadly so quickly. It's a reminder that even in the most seemingly straightforward situations, our EMTs, firefighters, and police officers are putting their lives on the line. I hope that the discussions and increased awareness post-incident lead to tangible changes that can help protect these brave individuals as they continue to serve our communities. My heart goes out to Mitch's family and colleagues, and I sincerely hope we see improvements so that their sacrifices spur necessary changes in how these calls are managed. Has anyone heard if there have been specific changes implemented in Appleton or elsewhere since this happened?
