I've been following the Pedro Millan case, and there's something that's really been on my mind. Did anyone else catch the bit during the trial about the delays because of Michael D. Jones' competency evaluations and changing lawyers? I can't even imagine what that must've felt like for Pedro's family, having to wait longer for justice. Delays in cases like these seem to add even more stress and despair to families who are already going through unbearable loss. The justice system is so necessary, but it can be incredibly frustrating when things move at such a slow pace, especially when you know a loved one’s killer is still out there waiting for trial. It’s just tough all around. I really hope that Millan’s family now finds some peace with the conviction, although I’m sure the pain never fully goes away. Anyone else have thoughts on how the justice system handles delays and if there’s a better way to support grieving families throughout this process?
