Hi everyone, I've been following Miguel "Chipo" Rios's case closely and can't stop thinking about his mom, Catalina. I just read about the last moment they shared, and it hit me hard. It must be incredibly difficult to find any sense of peace after losing a child so suddenly, especially when those responsible are still out there. Catalina's involvement with the Mothers and Families for Justice campaign shows immense strength and courage. It's admirable how she channels her grief into advocating for Miguel and countless other victims. Does anyone know more about the efforts she's led with the group? How can we support her and raise awareness about the lack of justice in her case? If there's anything we can do to help, I'm all in. No parent should have to endure this unimaginable pain while waiting for answers. Sending love and strength to Miguel’s family as they continue this journey.

I was reading about Miguel Angel Rios and was struck by how his dreams were snatched from him. It’s beyond upsetting to see a young life with so much promise be taken senselessly. From what I've gathered, Miguel had such a bright future ahead. As someone who recently graduated and is trying to figure out what's next, I can’t help but feel a connection to his aspirations of studying mechanical engineering. He seemed like someone who could have really made a difference, not just for himself but for his family and community too. It’s frustrating that, even after all these years, there hasn’t been any justice or closure for Miguel’s loved ones. His mom, Catalina, has shown so much strength in her advocacy. I think it’s incredibly important for us to support her efforts and for more people to be aware of the ongoing issue of violence in places like Little Village. It’s a painful reminder of how urgently this city needs change. My heart is with his family—they're in my thoughts.
