Hello everyone, I’ve been reading through the threads about Jeffrey Dabney, and something that really stood out to me was the vigil that was held in his honor. It’s deeply unsettling that what should have been a moment of peace and remembrance was marred by further gunfire. It speaks volumes about the ongoing challenge of confronting violence and the cycle that plagues our community. I can't help but think about the emotional toll on Jeffrey's family and friends who were trying to process their grief while being met with more chaos. Has anyone here attended the vigil or heard more about what happened from those who were there? It just seems utterly disrespectful to disrupt such an event, robbing JD’s loved ones of the chance to honor him without fear. Also, has there been any initiative from the community or local leaders to ensure that such disruptions don’t happen again, especially at events meant for healing? Just trying to find out if there are ways we can support the family and work on preventing similar incidents in the future. Thanks in advance for any insights. Stay safe, everyone.
