Has anyone else been following the details about the surveillance footage in the Juan Luis Estela Ortiz case? It really makes you think about how much technology plays a role in solving such horrific crimes. The first time I read about the truck circling the block, it sent chills down my spine. What possible reasons could Davila-Gali have had to keep driving around like that? It feels so cold and premeditated. I can’t imagine how Ortiz’s family feels watching the case unfold, knowing there’s footage that shows part of the events leading to their loss. It must be a small comfort to know that evidence helped lead to an arrest, but it’s also a painful reminder of what happened. I just hope this case pushes for more effective community safety measures in Milwaukee. Is there anyone here who knows if there’s been any initiatives or changes since then?
