I just want to take a moment to talk about how shared tragedy can impact a community. The loss of Marshell M. Harris is something that has really brought people in Milwaukee together, but it's devastating that it had to be through something so horrific. Marshell was apparently well-loved by those who knew her, which makes this senseless act of violence all the more difficult to comprehend. It's moments like these when you see residents banding together, organizing vigils, and comforting each other that reminder us of the power of community spirit. But it also raises a lot of questions. What can be done collectively to prevent such tragedies? How do we address the root causes of gun violence? It's so frustrating that her killer is still out there, and it's my hope that someone will have the courage to step up and share what they know. If you have any information, even if it seems small or insignificant, please consider coming forward. Marshell deserves justice, and her family and friends deserve answers. My heart goes out to everyone who's been touched by this, and I hope we can find a way to support each other during this difficult time.
