I'm deeply saddened when I think about the overwhelming tragedy of the Wah Mee massacre, especially for families like George Mar's. I was reading about how he was a regular at the club, known for his friendly nature and generous spirit. It must have been such a shock to his family to lose him in such a sudden and violent way. This case leaves me wondering about the tight-knit communities in areas like Seattle’s Chinatown International District back then. How did they cope with such a devastating loss? My heart goes out to anyone who lived through those times and to all of George's loved ones who lost someone so dear to senseless violence. The pain of losing community members like him must have lingered long after that night.
