Hey everyone,
I've been reading about the Wah Mee massacre, and I can't stop thinking about the aftermath and how it affected the families, especially those of the victims like Chin Lee Law. It's hard to imagine the pain his loved ones must have felt, knowing that he was just out for a night and never came back. I was particularly moved by how this tragedy brought attention to the safety issues in Seattle’s Chinatown-International District. It's awful that it took something so horrific to shed light on the illegal activities going on, which honestly, should have been addressed long before. Yet, it's bittersweet knowing that maybe, just maybe, awareness of these vulnerabilities might have prevented future incidents. Has anyone read about community changes or any safety improvements in the area since then? Would be interested to know if anything positive came out of this tragedy in terms of neighborhood safety.
Thinking of all those affected, and hoping for brighter days for the community.
