I recently came across a detail that really struck me about Shannon Zielinski's case. Unlike Yates' other victims, she was found with a towel draped over her torso. I'm wondering if this could signify some sort of remorse or second thoughts from Yates, however twisted that might sound. This case remains as haunting now as it was back then. I often think of Shannon's family and friends and the immense loss they must feel. These small details make me hope that one day we'll fully understand what drove him to these horrific acts and perhaps find ways to prevent them in the future. Thoughts? Does this detail stand out to anyone else?
