Was anyone else struck by the complete lack of urgency from the police despite the huge red flags? ? I'm just baffled that Evelyn explicitly mentioned the Mexico incident and yet the authorities didn’t seem to take her seriously. I know hindsight is 20/20, but shouldn't a situation where a parent has already tried to abduct a child raise some alarms? It's incredibly sad that it took them so long to act on the missing report, only to find it was too late. How can the system be so complacent when it comes to a child’s safety? My heart goes out to Aubrey's mom and the rest of her family… I can’t even imagine what they went through waiting those agonizing days. It's crucial that we continue to push for reform, so no parent ever feels this level of helplessness again. Sending love and strength to all affected. ?
