Has anyone else thought about the incredible bravery Roland showed that night? It's deeply saddening to think that he was just trying to help his neighbors by instructing a call to 911, and it ended so tragically for him. His actions speak volumes about his character and the kind of person he was – always willing to lend a hand when needed. It’s a real gut punch to realize how someone so kind and community-minded fell victim to such senseless violence. My heart goes out to his family and friends who have to cope with this devastating loss. I can’t imagine how difficult it must be to lose someone like Roland in such a horrific way. He deserved so much better.

Hey everyone, I've been following the tragic case in Federal Way, and my heart goes out to Roland L. Scobee's family and friends. Something that really stood out to me was Roland's instinctive reaction during the chaos—asking his neighbor to call 911 while things were escalating outside. It just shows the kind of person he was: responsible, brave, and protective of those around him, even in a terrifying situation. Maybe it was his experience in the outdoors, but it seems like Roland had an inherent understanding of danger and was always thinking about others' safety too. Sadly, his act of caution wasn't enough to shield him from the senseless violence that followed. It's incredibly devastating to think that Roland became a victim simply because he lived in the wrong place at the wrong time. I can’t even begin to imagine what his neighbors must have felt, hearing those final moments play out. Truly, my thoughts are with his community and everyone who had the chance to know him through his work or hobbies. Roland did not deserve this, and neither did the other victims. Would love to hear any stories or memories from those who knew him—sometimes, sharing can help in remembering the good times amidst the tragedy. Stay safe, everyone.
