Has anyone else looked into the ongoing community efforts in response to the surge in homicides back in 2012, especially around Marvin Clay's case? I remember so many local groups tried stepping up efforts to create safer neighborhoods and provide support and resources for families affected by violence. It was such a tense time, and while law enforcement did what they could, the grassroots movements really highlighted how communities were trying to come together and push for change despite all the challenges. It's just so deeply sad to think about the circumstances that Marvin and many others found themselves in. It's essential now, more than ever, to share what worked and what didn't back then to inform today's efforts in making our cities safer for everyone. What do you all remember or think about the community’s response during that time?
