I've been reading more about the case, and one thing that's been on my mind is the role of the piggy bank in the tragedy. It's just so senseless that something as trivial as that could be involved in such a devastating situation. It's difficult to wrap my head around how Zachary Craven's actions led to the loss of such a wonderful person like Meagan. Meagan was clearly a beacon of positivity and selflessness in her community. The accounts of her volunteering and her dedication to helping others showcase just how special she was. It's heartbreaking that she lost her life under such tragic circumstances. The idea that she was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time, doing a favor for a friend, is just beyond comprehension. I hope that through the memorial scholarship and her friends and family's efforts, Meagan's legacy of kindness and service can continue to make a difference. It's heartening to see the community rally around her memory, but the world definitely feels a little dimmer without her in it.
