I've been following the tragic case of Adela Ruiz-Gonzales and her family, and something that's been on my mind is the impact on the children who survived this horrific event. Growing up with the memory of what happened in their home must be incredibly challenging. I can't even begin to imagine the emotional turmoil they are facing, having lost both their mother and grandmother in such a violent way. It's heartening to hear that the community rallied around them, offering support and help with funeral expenses. But emotional scars are much harder to heal. I hope they're receiving ongoing counseling and care to help them process what happened. If anyone has info on how they're doing or knows of any resources that might help support them further, please share. These children deserve all the love and support the world can offer after going through such unimaginable trauma.
