I wanted to share a thought I've been having about Harold Howell's tragic case, particularly regarding the atmosphere in senior housing complexes. It's unsettling to think that a place designed to be a sanctuary for our elders can become a backdrop for such violence. Howell dedicated so much of his life to serving his country and community, only to face such horror in his own home. ? What's concerning is how the environment of these housing facilities might contribute to crimes going unnoticed or getting delayed responses. I've often wondered if there was something more the Evergreen Towers II could've done in terms of security, like better lighting or more active surveillance. Senior residents deserve to live their golden years in peace and safety, without the constant shadow of fear. I sincerely hope that we, as a community, can advocate for better security measures in these facilities post this tragic event, so no other family has to suffer like this. My heart goes out to Harold's family and friends, and I hope justice will be eventually served. ?️
