I’ve been following the Belfair incident closely and wanted to share something about Tory Carlson that stuck with me. I came across a story about him helping his fellow students at Olympic College. There was this one time he organized a small cooking demonstration for the kids at a local community center, showing how to make simple and healthy meals. It might seem minor in the grand scheme of things, but it truly highlights the positive impact he had on those around him.
What a tragic loss for everyone who knew him and had the chance to be touched by his kindness and passion for cooking. It’s moments like these that remind me of how much potential was taken away that day. My thoughts are with his family and friends who lost such a bright light in their lives. If anyone has more stories like this about Tory or any of the victims, please share. Their memories deserve to be remembered for the joy and positivity they brought to others.
I can't stop thinking about the bravery of that 12-year-old girl who managed to escape during the standoff in Belfair. It truly amazes me how she managed to find the courage to get out of that horrifying situation. It's hard to even imagine the trauma she must have experienced and continues to endure. From what I've read, the girl was related to the gunman, making it even more complex emotionally. I hope she's receiving all the support and care she needs to heal from this nightmare. Sending thoughts to her, as well as to all the families and friends affected by this senseless tragedy. If anyone has any information on community efforts to support her or others affected, please share. We all need to come together to support the innocent lives touched by this tragedy.
