I've been reading about the tragic night of July 30, 2016, and I keep thinking about the unimaginable pain and void left in the lives of those who knew Anna, Jordan, and Jake. Those three young lives were taken far too soon, and it’s hard not to be affected by their stories. While the legal aspects of the case have played out, I can't help but reflect on the unimaginable strength and courage shown by the families and the entire Mukilteo community in coming together to support each other. The vigils and memorials held have served as reminders that these young individuals will never be forgotten. It's important for us to continue these conversations about safety and responsibility so that no community has to endure a tragedy like this again. Sending love and solidarity to everyone who has been impacted by this senseless act. ❤️

I’ve been thinking a lot about the house party where the lives of Anna Bui, Jordan Ebner, and Jake Long were tragically cut short. As someone who has attended college gatherings, I can't help but imagine how it must have felt to be at what should have been a fun and joyful occasion, only for it to turn into a nightmare. I hope the surviving attendees are finding some way to heal after witnessing such trauma. The fact that Anna's family pursued legal action against Ivanov’s parents really struck a chord with me. If only more folks truly understood the importance of intervening when a loved one shows signs of mental struggle, perhaps some tragedies could be prevented. This case really highlights the heavy burden we share as a community to look out for one another, doesn’t it? I can't fathom the pain that Will Kramer, who survived, must be experiencing. Surviving something like this would weigh heavily on anyone, especially when others didn't make it. Sending all the strength and love to the families affected and to the community of Mukilteo as they continue to grieve and seek justice in their own ways.
