Hey everyone, I've been following Rita Maze's case pretty closely, and something that's been on my mind is the timeline of events leading to her tragic death. I can't imagine the distress her family must have felt when they received that phone call, thinking she was in immediate danger due to kidnapping. The distance her car traveled from Wolf Creek to Spokane is quite substantial, and I wonder if there are any gaps in the timeline that haven't been fully explored publicly. The whole situation with the rest stop abduction theory and the dramatic change in events is baffling. I know the FBI concluded it was self-inflicted, but I can understand why her family might still have questions. It's hard to reconcile the initial belief of an abduction with the conclusion drawn by the investigation. I just hope her loved ones find the answers they need to heal and remember Rita for who she was, not just the circumstances surrounding her death. Would love to hear your thoughts or if anyone has seen similar cases where the narrative changed so significantly. Stay safe, everyone.

I can't stop thinking about how tragic and complex this whole situation with Rita Maze is. I keep wondering about what her last moments might have been like. Imagine just wanting to find some peace at a rest stop, and then everything changes so drastically. Hearing that she called her family during such a terrifying situation is truly haunting. It must have been utterly devastating for them to receive that call, only for everything to end the way it did. Even though the authorities concluded the case as self-inflicted, I feel for her family—they must still be grappling with questions and pain. It’s hard to wrap my head around the fact that sometimes what seems like one thing can turn out to be something completely different. My heart goes out to everyone who knew and loved her.

I've been thinking about the timeline of events in Rita Maze's case, and something just doesn't sit right with me. If Rita was truly able to call her family while trapped in the trunk, why didn't any of the 911 calls or pings on her phone help locate her sooner? It feels like there might have been opportunities to trace her phone more effectively, given the technology we have today. I'm not trying to second-guess law enforcement, but it makes me wonder if there's something missing in how the search was handled. I genuinely hope her family can find some sense of peace, but for those of us following the case, it still feels like there are unanswered questions. Anyone else have thoughts on this aspect?
