I can't shake the feeling that maybe someone out there knows more than they're letting on about Denis Sloboda's murder. It's just so eerie to think the shooter might still be walking free. What strikes me is that the vigil for Denis also experienced gunfire, which thankfully didn't harm anyone, but it makes you wonder about the mindset of individuals willing to bring violence into a space meant for mourning and healing. Is it just a terrifying coincidence, or are there ties we haven't pieced together?
Denis's family must be in absolute turmoil, dealing with their grief and the fear that comes with knowing the person responsible is still out there. It's comforting to see the community step up with the GoFundMe, but it's frustrating that so much remains unknown. If anyone was around Hoyt Road on that night or saw anything suspicious leading up to Denis's death, it's so important they come forward. With no leads and a case that's gone cold, this family deserves answers and, hopefully, some measure of justice.

It seems unfathomable that someone could be caught up in such senseless violence, especially when their thoughts are on their family.
