I’ve been thinking a lot about the witness accounts in My-Linh Nguyen’s case, especially the sketch that was circulated. It must have been incredibly difficult for the witnesses to recall details in such a traumatic situation, but every bit helps. It’s a strong reminder of how bravery comes in many forms. Witnesses who come forward can give families like Nguyen’s some hope for justice. I truly hope more people from the community feel empowered to share anything they might know. It’s unsettling that even years later, justice hasn’t been fully served. My thoughts are with Nguyen's family, especially her son, who had to endure such an unimaginable experience. Seeing that GoFundMe support shows this tragic event moved many people to come together in support, which is a small comfort amidst this terrible loss.
