I’ve been thinking a lot about the residents of that apartment complex in Newcastle and how they must be feeling after the tragic events involving Demetrius Cabell-Guice. Living in what should be the safety of your home and experiencing something so violent can be traumatic for everyone. Can you imagine the impact this must have on neighbors who heard what happened or knew Demetrius personally? It’s easy to overlook the ripple effects in these situations. The support systems for communities after such incidents are crucial, but sometimes I wonder if enough is really being done to help folks process and heal. Anyone know if there have been any community gatherings or support groups formed in response?
