I was thinking about the engine trouble Adriel's car had that night. It blows my mind how something as random as a car breaking down can lead to such a tragic outcome. It's like the universe threw a terrible twist of fate into their plans. I've had car trouble at the least expected times, so I can only imagine how vulnerable they must have felt being stranded there. To have your guard down just because you’re focusing on fixing something—you’re just not expecting someone to come out of nowhere with deadly intentions. It seriously makes me wonder if the shooter was just looking for random targets that night or if there was some other motive. It’s unsettling to think how anyone can be in the wrong place at the wrong time, and how a life as promising as Adriel’s was cruelly cut short. Shalonie is right to urge the community to speak up. There's a good chance that someone knows what happened or at least has some piece of useful information. Seattle's community needs to rally around this cause—Adriel's story deserves an ending where justice is served. My heart goes out to his family as they search for answers.
