Has anyone else been following the fire investigation details of this case? It's so disturbing to think about what could have been going through Henry Oates Jr.'s mind when he decided to not only take Christopher Berg's life but to also start a fire immediately afterward. It makes me wonder if there was something specific about the fire that was significant to him or if it was more about trying to destroy evidence. The fire being contained within half an hour likely helped preserve key evidence that otherwise might have been lost. I'm curious about what kind of input the ATF had in this investigation and what they uncovered. My heart goes out to the families of both men; it's difficult to imagine the unanswered questions they must be grappling with throughout all of this.

Did anyone else notice the involvement of the ATF in the investigation? I'm curious about the specifics of the fire and what they found at the scene. From what I've read, it's not common for ATF to be involved unless there's something noteworthy about how the fire started. It makes me wonder if there’s more to this tragedy than we know, even with the murder-suicide conclusion. It’s so hard to imagine what Christopher Berg's family must be going through, knowing not just that he was taken from them so violently, but that his home and personal space were violated and destroyed in such a senseless act. I'm really hoping for more clarity on what happened that day. Keeping his loved ones in my thoughts.

Hey everyone, I’ve been following the Berg/Oates case closely, and I keep thinking about neighbors in the fourplex. I can't imagine what it was like for them, hearing gunshots and then seeing the place go up in flames. Living in that kind of horror is unimaginable, and even though it’s been over a year, people around them must still be trying to process it all. My thoughts are with everyone affected by this tragedy. It makes me think about how important it is to understand the people around us and notice if someone might need help, even if we’re not sure what’s going on. Has there been any information about how those nearby are doing now? Sometimes the impacts of these events stretch so much further than we imagine.
