I recently read about the tragic events surrounding Patrolman John Dolan's death, and I can't stop thinking about how devastating this must have been for his family, especially with the holidays approaching. Losing a loved one is hard enough, but the added burden of it happening under such tragic circumstances must have been incredibly overwhelming. I find it particularly sad that Dolan's brother and sisters had to witness this slow decline after his initial signs of improvement. It’s haunting to consider the hope they might have felt during his recovery, only to face such a heartbreaking outcome months later. Has anyone found any more information on how the community or his family coped after this tragedy? It would be interesting to know if there were community efforts to support them, given his involvement in local organizations.
