I was reading about Detective Bobby W. Branham's case, and it's just shocking how the shooter only got two years for his crimes. It's hard to wrap my head around the fact that someone can almost take a life, cause such long-term suffering, and face such a lenient punishment. Plus, more surgeries than anyone should have to endure. That doesn't seem right. The level of pain and perseverance that Detective Branham must have gone through for all those years, continuing his service despite everything, is truly commendable. I can't imagine what his family went through, seeing him struggle like that. His courage and dedication to his work and his family deserve our deepest respect. Does anyone know if there were any changes to the laws after this case regarding how these types of offenses were handled?
