I’ve been reading about the Standard Gravure shooting, and my heart goes out to those who lost their loved ones, especially the family of James G. Husband. It's unimaginable to think about what they went through on that dark day in 1989. I recently came across the part about the aftermath, where so much focus was put on Prozac and whether it played a role in the attack. While I understand that people's emotions were running high and everyone was searching for something to blame, I'm curious about the other safety measures that have been implemented since this tragedy. Have there been changes in workplace policies on mental health? I hope that something positive, like increased awareness or better mental health resources in workplaces, came out of this senseless act. If anyone knows more about any changes or improvements made in Louisville or at a broader level since the shooting, I’d love to hear about it. Always thinking of James, the others affected, and their families as we try to learn from such a devastating event.

I was reading about the Standard Gravure tragedy and was struck by James G. Husband’s story. It’s truly distressing how someone just going about their day at work could become a victim of such unimaginable violence. James, along with his coworkers, was caught in a situation no one should ever have to face. The fact that the warning signs were missed or ignored just adds to the pain felt by his family and friends. It's alarming to think about the accessibility of firearms in Wesbecker’s case despite his mental health struggles. This highlights the flaws in both our mental health and gun control systems at the time. James's family, like those of other victims, sought desperately for answers and justice. While no result will bring him back, I hope it led to some positive changes in legislation and awareness. My thoughts are with those who knew James and the others who were lost that day. It must have been incredibly difficult to process such a loss, especially under these circumstances. I hope the memory of James and the bravery of the survivors continue to inspire discussions on creating safer environments for everyone.
