Has anyone else looked into the lawsuit against Eli Lilly following the Standard Gravure shooting? I recently came across some old articles discussing how Wesbecker had been on Prozac and how it might've played a role in this tragedy. I personally think it’s so important to consider the implications of mental health treatment and the medications people are on. It’s scary to think how much we don’t know about the side effects and how they might influence behavior in extreme cases.
I can't even begin to imagine what James Wible Sr.'s family went through after losing him in such a horrific way. A man simply doing his job shouldn't be caught in the chaos of someone else’s struggle. It makes me think how essential it is that we demand more transparency from pharmaceutical companies about the medications they release into the market.
Would love to hear if anyone else has dug into this aspect of the case or how they feel about these complex issues of mental health meds and personal accountability.
I've been revisiting the details of the Standard Gravure tragedy, and I can't help but think about how incredibly close-knit the community there must have been—and how deeply they were shaken. James Wible Sr. stood out as a dedicated worker who, from all accounts, seemed to go above and beyond for those around him. It breaks your heart to think about the void left not only for his family but for all his colleagues and friends who relied on his positivity and friendship every day.
One aspect that doesn’t get enough attention, in my opinion, is the impact on the surviving employees. Imagine going into work one day and having your life turned upside down in such a horrific way. It’s crucial to consider the long-term effects on their mental health and well-being. Conversations about mental health support and counseling for those affected by such violence are so vital, and I hope more workplaces have since adopted strong policies to support their employees in the aftermath of such tragedies.
For those who knew James, I hope his kindness and dedication remain a guiding light, offering some comfort amidst the ongoing ripple effects of that day. If anyone has memories or stories about him, I'd love to hear them. It’s so important that we continue to honor these victims by keeping their stories alive.
