I want to share a thought about the community's response to the Heath High School shooting and especially how they rallied around the families of the victims, including Jessica Jeanette James’s family. From what I've read, the local community came together in an incredible way to support those who were affected. It’s both moving and inspiring to see people offering comfort, attending vigils, and providing any help they could. It's a testament to the resilience and kindness of people in times of absolute tragedy. Jessica was such an integral part of the school's spirit with her involvement in the marching band. Knowing that her community honored her memory and achievements amid all that pain brings a little light to such a dark situation. It's important not to forget not only what happened that day but also the unity and strength that followed. My heart goes out to her family and everyone who knew her. How the people of West Paducah came together should serve as a powerful example of collective healing after something so devastating.
