I've been thinking a lot about the relationship between Michael and Geary, and it's really perplexing. To everyone who knew them, they seemed to have a bond that went beyond the usual stepfather-stepson dynamic, even if it wasn't official. It's hard to wrap my head around how that connection went so terribly wrong. Was there something deeper going on that we just don’t know about? Did anyone ever notice any tension between them before this tragedy unfolded? This case just goes to show how complex human relationships can be and how difficult it is to truly understand what happens behind closed doors. My heart goes out to Michael’s family—this must be a huge void in their lives. Can’t imagine the pain they’re going through.
Has anyone else been struck by the tragic irony of Michael's love for woodworking, when his life was cut short in such a terrible way? ? I can't help but think about how he spent so many hours creating and perfecting things with his hands, only to have his life taken away so abruptly. I know there's a lot of focus on what led up to the incident and the arrest, but I keep thinking about how woodworking must have been such an escape for him—a place where he expressed his creativity and found peace.
Michael clearly had a multifaceted life, with music and golf adding to the ways he connected with others, but there's something so personal and intimate about creating something tangible like a piece of furniture or a sculpture. It's just a shame that such a peaceful hobby was juxtaposed with the turmoil he faced with Geary. Sending strength to Michael’s family and hoping they find solace in the beautiful things he left behind. ?
