I’ve been following Officer Daniel Ellis’s case and keep thinking about the role of Gregory Ratliff. From what I've read, he was the one who let the officers into the apartment. I can’t imagine being in his shoes and making the choices he did that day. I'm curious what you all think - do you feel his 30-year sentence reflects his involvement appropriately? It's a relief to know the justice system is holding people accountable. Regardless of his role, it doesn't change the pain Officer Ellis's family must be facing every day. Just blows my mind how fast life can change with one decision. My heart goes out to Katie and their child, and I hope the community’s tribute with the memorial highway offers them some comfort.
