Does anyone else find it chilling how Craig Pennington's background seemed to progressively escalate toward something as dreadful as this? I mean, looking at his past, it seems like there were all these red flags—firearms violations and assault charges. It's devastating to think that whatever leniency he might have experienced in those previous encounters with the law possibly allowed him to harm Robert and Crystal in such an unimaginable way. My heart aches for their families who are still searching for closure. I can't imagine the agony of not even having their bodies to lay to rest. Whatever the judicial system will do, I really hope it includes a deep dive into how past offenses like Pennington’s are dealt with to prevent more tragedies like this. Is there anyone here who's more familiar with how these kinds of patterns maybe should have been handled?
