Has anyone else been struck by how the community has rallied together since Derek's passing? It's incredibly moving to see so many people coming forward to support his family and honor his memory. The fundraiser that was organized to help with his funeral expenses and any legal costs really speaks volumes about the impact he had on everyone he met. It's clear Derek was truly cherished, and knowing this makes his senseless murder even more devastating. It’s a small comfort to know that he wasn't just a name in the news, but someone who touched lives so profoundly. Every time I pass by Little Zion Baptist Church, I remember the overwhelming love and respect I saw at his service. I sincerely hope that the unity of our community can help push the investigation forward. If anyone has any additional information, even if it seems minor, please come forward. Justice for Derek is a shared responsibility.
