I've been thinking a lot about the neighbors who knew Jane and Garland. It must be incredibly hard for them to reconcile what happened with the people they knew. From everything I've read and heard, Jane was so cherished in the community, especially by the students whose lives she touched during her teaching career. It's just so devastating to imagine the pain she must have been in and the desperation Garland felt. It's clear they loved each other deeply, but I can't help but wonder how this community will deal with such a distressing loss. Support systems, like friends and neighbors, are crucial in times like this, and I really hope they’re rallying around each other. Also, has there been any talk about support groups or counseling services being organized for those impacted by this tragedy? It seems like this would be especially needed given the magnitude of the event.
