I recently came across the story of Piter Perdomo, and it really struck me how he was another young soul lost to violence. It's truly sobering to think about someone leaving everything they know behind in hopes of a brighter future, only to face such a tragic end. I was reading about how the lack of witnesses has really been hindering the investigation. It reminded me of other cases where bystanders were afraid to come forward, perhaps due to fears of retaliation or distrust in the system. It’s so vital that anyone who might have seen or heard something the night Piter was killed finds the courage to speak up. His family deserves answers and the chance to find some semblance of closure. If there's anyone from the Newburg area here, do you remember seeing anything unusual that night? Maybe even something that seemed irrelevant at the time? I hope that the community can rally together and help fill in the gaps. Justice for Piter is long overdue. My heart truly goes out to his family and friends; I can't imagine their pain.
