I've been thinking a lot about the 16-year-old who survived that horrible night in Oak Grove. What a terrifying experience for someone so young. I can't even begin to imagine the trauma of witnessing such a tragic event and coming out alive. It’s a reminder of how deeply domestic violence can affect not just the direct victims, but everyone caught in its crossfire. I sincerely hope that with time and support, this young person can find some form of healing. There needs to be more discussion on providing resources and counseling for witnesses and survivors in these situations. This aspect often feels overlooked, and I believe it's just as important as the legal proceedings in cases like this. Thoughts?
