Hey everyone, I just wanted to share a bit about Ashton Michael Tomas's case that's been on my mind lately. Ashton, known to many as "D.C.," was taken from us all too soon, and I can't stop thinking about the community's response after his tragic death in the Shawnee neighborhood. One thing that really stood out to me was how the community rallied together with vigils and memorials to honor Ashton. It's a touching reminder of the strength and solidarity in Louisville, even amidst such heartbreaking events. These gatherings seemed to really underscore the love people had for Ashton and how deeply they feel his absence. It was moving to see people come together not only to remember Ashton but also to push for meaningful changes in our city. The loud calls for addressing gun violence give me hope that voices are being heard, and perhaps this can lead to real, impactful change. My heart goes out to Ashton's friends and family. Their resilience is truly admirable, and I hope that someday they find the justice and peace they deserve. If anyone has more information on community efforts or how to support the family, please do share. We can't let Ashton be forgotten.
